So today I had the day off and Brittany, Andie and I all went shopping. Since we are moving into a new place we thought we would simplify our living room and go with a more mid-century modern feel doing away with the paisley grandma-ish sofa set we currently have. So all week I have been doing research looking for good deals, furniture stores, and pieces that fit the style we were looking for. Let me tell you there aren't a lot a furniture retailers that have mid-century type pieces unless you buy something online for thousands or go to D.I. Luckily I came across a really cool website grassrootsmodern.com (if any of you like modern furniture check them out, their local) and they posted some info about a great mid-century-esque sofa from Macys. So we checked it out today, fell in love with it, and we bought it!
Its called the Corona Sofa and it actually is real comfortable (which was my biggest concern) and I loved the texture of the fabric. Anyways, you can check out the other colors and info about it here. We also stopped by a few stores just to find some accents and such for our condo, my favorite store though was Modern Materials Design they sell a ton of EQ3 furniture and accessories at least 50% off. They are moving locations next month and have even better discounts on a lot of stuff. Its worth the adventure of actually trying to find them. We picked up this sweet clock...
All in all it was an eventful day and it was great to spend some time with Burt and Andie. Well let us know what you think! We are excited to move and can't wait to get out of this apartment and into an actual nice place.

I love it . . . but wait I think, no I'm sure, grandma Cameron had one just like it. The clock is a rare find for sure. I'm excited to see it all put together in your new place. I just wish it wasn't on the THIRD floor! Not to worry, my knees need replacing anyhow. (j/k) Congrats on a good choice, what color did you get anyway?
